| The best way to get connected
with Vietnamese students, groups, individuals throughout Northern California,
especially the Bay Area is an email away. Just email us at activity@thapsangniemtin.net
or sinhhoat@thapsangniemtin.net
We've had a lot of students wanting to announce their school/organization activities and thus we've decided that we will become the medium of information exchange among the different highschools, colleges, community groups, etc. We've put up two email addresses and anyone group or individual can post up your event by emailing to the above addresses and we will help announce the event to everyone on our email list (which is very comprehensive). Furthermore, we will also announce it on the radio which will air every Tuesday from 10 PM – 11 PM on 1430 AM, and we will also post them on our website www.thapsangniemtin.net. Thus if you have any volunteer events, performance art events, community events, etc, feel free to email us and we'll help you let everyone know about it. If you have friends or groups that want to receive emails from us, please forward this email to them or email us at contact@thapsangniemtin.net and we will make sure that they are also updated. |

Văn Nghệ - Viet-American Alumni Association at UC DavisThis is a reminder and an invitation to you to stop by the Văn Nghệ variety show Nắng Xanh put on by the gang of Viet-American Alumni Association at UC Davis. The gathering will take place this Sunday 06/27/99 from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. at Coffee Lovers on Capitol Expressway and Aborn in San Jose. The program will feature an all-amateur "cây nhà lá vườn" variety of live-band and karaoke singers, jokers, plus two-round of Vietnamese Lotto with prizes. There will be a $5 cover-charge to be paid at door to defray organizing costs. Food and drinks are extra. This gathering also serves as a kick-off event for the Association's drive to raise $10 to $50,000 in the next few years to build a scholarship endowment, a trust fund, to generate scholarships for financially needy incoming UC Davis students far into the future. Our effort for the endowment is not only to assist students materially, but more importantly to serve as a lasting symbol of gratitude our alma mater, a school like so many others that have helped so many people educationally in our community. Come and have fun. You won't be coerced into giving money. Tell other friends of yours about this invitation, and I hope to see you there. Any questions please call me at work 408-938-2153.
